Where to meet on the night
The Stratford Ghost Walk meets at the Swan Fountain on Waterside, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6BA (opposite Sheep Street).

The fountain stands on the riverside walkway, close to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Bancroft Gardens. Look for the circular stone fountain with swan sculptures and the river just beyond.

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled start time so we can check tickets and gather the group before the stories begin.

How to get there
On foot from central Stratford
From the town centre, walk towards the river and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Follow signs for Waterside and Bancroft Gardens – the Swan Fountain is on the riverside path, opposite Sheep Street.

By car
There is no dedicated parking at the meeting point. The nearest public car parks include those around the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and town centre. Allow extra time to park and walk to Waterside, especially at weekends and during holidays.

By public transport
Stratford-upon-Avon railway station is around 10–15 minutes’ walk from the meeting point. Local buses stop close to the town centre and riverside – follow signs for the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Bancroft Gardens.

Please remember the walk takes place entirely outdoors and does not start from an indoor venue.
Accessibility on the walk
The Stratford Ghost Walk follows public pavements and streets around the town centre. Surfaces are mostly paved but may be uneven in places, and routes can include kerbs, slopes and occasional cobbles.

We aim to keep the walk as accessible as reasonably possible and will adapt the route where we can for wheelchair users and guests with limited mobility. If you or someone in your party uses a wheelchair, mobility aid or pram/buggy, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Some viewpoints may have restricted access or be more challenging in poor weather. If you are unsure whether the walk is suitable for you, contact us and we will be happy to advise.
What to wear and bring
The walk takes place outdoors in all but the very worst weather, and it can feel cooler by the river after dark.

Please wear comfortable footwear suitable for walking and standing on pavements and uneven ground. Bring warm layers, waterproofs and umbrellas according to the forecast.

A small torch or phone light can be helpful on darker evenings, though we also make use of the town’s street lighting. For fuller information on accessibility and safety, please see the About The Stratford Ghost Walk and Terms & Conditions pages.
